As you all may know, our ‘Friend of the Year’ Award is the highest accolade we have to express our gratitude to those who have worked above and beyond the call of duty. Normally, there is a lively debate by the Trustees as to who deserves it most (there are normally several people who should win it) but sadly there can be only one actual winner. But the task this year was different as the choice was unanimous.
Colin Ansell has worked tirelessly at Lochnagar in all weathers doing all the most arduous tasks with impressive enthusiasm and unfailing cheerfulness. We can think of no better person to receive it, and display it for a year, and it comes of course, with our enormous affection, thanks and respect. RD
