It was with enormous shock and sadness that on the 4th October we heard of the sudden death of Réal Delplanque, one of our most valued, and faithful Friends in France.
Réal, like his brother Jean-Claude, has been involved in all things Lochnagar since day one. He was a man with an incredible knowledge and impressive archive of the Crater and a genuine heart for its continued well-being.
His quiet dignity, integrity and warmth will be greatly missed and we send our deepest condolences to his wife Arlette and all his family.
