The Commemoarative Plaques on the walkway were originally intended to honour individuals. Now that the renovation of the walkway is completed, we decided to set apart a section for “General Dedications”. With this, we are meeting the demand of schools, groups and organizations alike.
The Pupils of the Pinewood School in Bourton, Wiltshire were the first to seize this opportunity to dedicate a plaque to all who gave their lives in the Great War.
Requests for plaques can be made by using the existing form on the “Sponsor a Plaque”-page, putting IN MEMORIAM in the “Name” field and using the field “Additional Information” to compose the text as it should appear on the plaque. Be sure to fill in the fields “Contact Name” and “Contact Information”. The other fields can remain blank.
